| GODIVA AcneClear Astringent & Soap Review
Hey guys! It's time for another review! If you would notice, I haven't been posting some reviews these past few weeks. I'm sorry for that. Hihi. I know, I know, I'm lazy. XD But on the good side, I had enough time to test the product's effectiveness as weeks pass by. Now, I will share my thoughts on the GODIVA AcneClear Line that I've been using these past weeks. I only purchased 2 out of 3 (I guess?) products of the line. GODIVA AcneClear Anti-Blemish Astringent Php 79 (?) 60ml Contains licochalcone from licorice extract to help control acne and keep your skin clear and blemish free. Great for all ages, for acne prone teens and adults with oily skin.
What I Like:
What I Don't Like:
--- GODIVA AcneClear Soap w/ Salicylic Acid (forgot the price) This soap provides double protection from acne. It has Salicylic Acid that helps exfoliate the epidermis of dead skin cells, thus preventing clogged pores. It also has the acne clearing power of Licochalcone, that helps control oil production and helps calm and soothe acne-prone skin. With two acne fighting ingredients, plus the added whitening benefit of licorice in this soap, a clearer and more beautiful skin is revealed.

--- The Story: My mom and I were strolling at the mall and she decided to drop by at Watson's to buy another bar of her new favorite bath soap. This happens to be the Godiva Licorice Whitening Soap. In short, we go straight to the Godiva section of the store. She had trouble remembering the name of the soap and got confused with the almost same label designs of the Godiva soaps. We approached an SA of Godiva and asked which soap is whitening, blah, blah, blah. She was very helpful though, and didn't get tired of my mom's many questions. Then suddenly she noticed my cheeks which were infested with red dots and some pimples. Yeah, again its my time of the month again and I'm too lazy that day to apply She suggested this line for acne and did some sales talk. I wasn't really convinced. I heard a good number of salespersons doing their talk and I admit at times I was convinced and bought their products but when I got to try it fully at home I got dissapointed because there were no effects. Especially when it comes to my (now occasional) pimples and redness, I don't easily trust the products claiming to reduce acne, blemishes, and so on. 'Okay then, say what you wanna say I am not convinced', that was the thought running in my mind the whole minute the SA was talking. Then my mom said 'Why not try it? It won't hurt our budget. You never know maybe this is the product for you'. 'Okay mommy's gonna pay I'm gonna get it'. XD Yeah people you should always listen to your mom. I never really new that this product could make a difference. What I did was use these products religiously everyday (no skipping!) and on the first 3 days I noticed that it helped removed some red dots and YES, IT DRIED MY PIMPLES. I was surprised, same with my mom. Sorry I don't have a before and after shot, I'm lazy! But it's claims were really true, as for me. Oh by the way, I skipped using moisturizer when I started using these products. Surprisingly, it didn't dry out my face and it didn't make it more sensitive! Haha! I hit the jackpot! :D I was sooooo glad that the SA introduced me (us) to these products. Whatever your name is, thank you! :) My little experiment on this GODIVA products was a big success! I don't think that I'm returning soon to my regular skincare regimen. I will finish these products first. :P Hope this helps. :) Labels: acneclear, godiva, review |
