| Butterfly Tattoo Nail Art Tutorial
Hey gals!I just wanna share how to make my new nail art in this tutorial. I was inspired by a YouTube video tutorial (I forgot the title >.<) about nail art using good ol' peel off temporary tattoos. I was amazed by the technique and I decided to do my own version. I hope you will be inspired by mine too. ^_^ ---- Here's what I used: ![]() L-R: 1) The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Nail Remover in 01 Pink ; 2) Skinfood Vita Nut Nail Strengthener ; 3) Etude House Petit Darling Nails HD Beam in #BR308 ; 4) Etude House Jelly Pop Nail Top Coat ; 5) Ball of cotton ; 6) Temporary tattoo/s ; 7) Scissors ------ Let's begin! ![]() My FUGLY nails from failed attempts of drawing a lip shape and a star. LOL. So first things first, clean ur nail from any residue of past nail polishes. I used The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Nail Remover in 01 Pink, I really love the scent of this nail (polish) remover so I nearly reached the bottom of the bottle! After cleaning put on a base coat, I used Skinfood Vita Nut Nail Strengthener as a base coat. It is formulated with Vitamin E and Protein that provides nutrition to the nails. :) ![]() While waiting for the base coat to dry, cut the temporary tattoo into sizes that would fit your nails appropriately. I used a bigger scissor. ToT ![]() Here are the pieces when cut. ^^ ![]() Notice that they were only 9. Haha! I am cutting the 10th piece while taking the picture. XD After cutting appropriate sizes apply your base color. I used Etude House Petit Darling Nails HD Beam in #BR308. I chose this color because I love how it matches my hand's skin tone and I love nude colors. :) ![]() 1 coat is just enough for me. I love how pigmented the color is, very HD! :D This is the pic when done with my left hand: ![]() While waiting for the base color to dry I played one of my favorite iPhone games. Zombie Cafe! Harhar. ![]() Prepare water on a small container (I used the nail (polish) remover's cap.LOL) and a ball of cotton. ![]() Carefully place the tattoo over your nails. Make sure the base color is COMPLETELY dry before doing this or it will ruin the base color! ![]() It looks like I have super pointed nails. Haha! Swipe. Swipe. Swipe, with a wet cotton ball or press it over the tattoo like I did for about 10-15 seconds. ![]() CAREFULLY peel off the tattoo and ta-da!! What a cute little butterfly. <3 ![]() Continue doing the steps to the rest of the nails. Remember to be patient! :) . . . DON'T FORGET TO APPLY TOPCOAT. It will protect the tattoo from peeling off and also protect your nails from chipping. I used Etude House Jelly Pop Nail Top Coat, a shiny jelly coating that supplies nail strengthening enamel protection for long lasting manicure expression. I love how cool and glossy my nails are after applying this topcoat. :D . . . Finish! :) ![]() Don't forget to clean off the messy edges. :P ~ ~ ~ XOXO Labels: butterfly, etude house, face shop, nail art, skinfood, tattoo, tutorial |
